| These four CDs are stuffed
full of Michigan City historical pictures! The collection also
includes pictures of some of the smaller towns in LaPorte County.
There are over 1,900 images including over 1,540 pictures. Over
1,480 of the pictures are of high enough resolution to make sharp
8x10 prints. The pictures were scanned from historical photos
and digitally enhanced to bring back the sharp contrast and vibrant
colors lost over the past 50 to 100 years. The CDs also include
historical documents, Michigan City promotional material, and
turn-of-the-century messages from postcards. All the pictures
are dated and identified, some have comments. Also included are
about 45 recent pictures, including photos of Michigan City's
Viet Nam Veterans' Memorial.
The CDs are compatible with both Microsoft Windows®
and Macintosh® operating systems.
The organization of the CDs makes it easy to browse and view
the pictures. Mike Fleming has sold over 120 copies of this
CD set on E-bay for $24.00 plus shipping. Mike is making them
available to WeAreMC Cityzens for only $22.00 (plus $4.00 for
first class shipping). The pictures are not copyrighted. You
can frame them, put them on tee shirts, coffee mugs, tote bags,
letter heads, greeting cards, class reunion decorations - anything
you want!
PLEASE NOTE: These CD-ROMs are not compatible with all DVD players. Though
some folks have reported these CD-ROMs will play as a slideshow in
newer DVD players, they are designed for computer use. Please do
not expect them to play in your DVD player. These CD-ROMs do not have sound.
